Shouldn’t Your Legal Content Writer Post on Their Own Blog?

So we are a new business and building from the ground up.  We have a truly grassroots beginning and a grassroots approach to providing our clients a service.  There is some fierce competition on the internet that we are battling with for clients.

Some competitors have been writing legal content and posting online for YEARS.  Something we at NAB Legal Marketing just do not have.  But something is wrong here.  Something almost–ironic?  It confuses us greatly here and we would like to share our confusion with you.

Why are some legal content writers not updating their blogs often?  Or at all?

Shouldn’t a business “practice what they preach?”  Some of the legal content writers on the internet just pay for placement on search engines instead of actually earning it; something Google is looking into limiting or even preventing.  But if our competitors just did what they are selling to you, they would get on the top of internet searches by merit.

That is why we stress to our prospective clients or those shopping around on the internet for a legal content writer, to sit back and observe the business’ website.  If you are paying them to write for your blog every day, they should be writing every day for their own blog!

What does that say if they cannot even update their own blog?  It does not even require extensive research to do that if they are truly “experts” in the field.  They should be able to speak from experience and be able to easily communicate that to readers.  There is no research that needs to get done.  No statutes to read through.  No cases to digest.  So what will happen when their actually is something more difficult to write about?
